The Lombard/Lombas Story
This website tells the story of Pedro Ignatio Lombas, also known as Pierre Lombard. It is written specifically for descendants of the people listed on the Lombard/Lombas Family Tree. The story is a result of 20+ years of research by my father, Gary Lombard, and me. I will do my best to give documented facts and records, as well as my best guesses, and leave you to form your own opinions.
When doing family history research, you can't help but make some assumptions. However, you must carefully research and find documents to support your assumptions. As you read this story, you will notice that I made many wrong assumptions that became obstacles to finding the truth. I had to stop being egotistical, and accept the fact that some of the family lore may be wrong.
